Founded in 2012 by Steven Shephard Jr., EVS is the response to a growing need for quick, reliable, and mobile service on vehicles and equipment in the emergency services and construction industries. With over 25 years of experience as a working professional in emergency medicine and care, Steve is aware of the challenges that working professionals face on a day-to-day basis and the importance of keeping equipment up to date and functioning on the road.
Steve’s professional upbringing included experience in fire/rescue, emergency medical care, and installing lighting, radio, and electronic equipment on vehicles as a shop foreman for his family’s business, Charleston Light and Siren. Following his parents retirement from the industry, Steve continued to focus on growing his skillset with certifications in Law Enforcement Vehicle Installation, Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification and continued education as a working EMT.
With experience as an install technician, trainer, quality control foreman and ultimately as a business owner, Steve set out to adapt his experience in vehicle upfitting and form Emergency Vehicle Solutions as a respected dealer for the top brands in the industry. His decision to form EVS as a mobile service provider remains groundbreaking and offers maximum flexibility to clients who rely on their vehicles remaining in service and ready to respond. Steve’s dedication and attention to detail, combined with his outgoing personality and years of experience are the fuel for our Pursuit of Perfection!
